Code, Education § 3–13A–07","heading":"","body":"(a) A student member of the county board shall be selected in accordance with procedures established by the county board.\n(b) (1) Each student member shall:\n(i) Be an 11th or 12th grade student in good standing and regularly enrolled in the Wicomico County public school system;\n(ii) Serve for 1 year beginning July 1 after the selection of the member;\n(iii) Be a nonvoting member; and\n(iv) Advise the county board on the thoughts and feelings of students in the Wicomico County public schools.\n(2) Unless invited to attend by an affirmative vote of a majority of the elected members of the county board, a student member may not attend a closed session of the county board.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=3-13A-07","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"163513a1d58397de780022698befecfa30f8421fd2fb92409d2624800988d82a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-3-13a-06","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-3-13a-08"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
