Code, Education § 3–2A–05","heading":"","body":"(a) The student member shall:\n(1) Be a regularly enrolled senior year student of good character and in good standing in an Anne Arundel County public high school;\n(2) Be selected in the student’s junior year by a method selected by the Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils of Anne Arundel County; and\n(3) (i) Serve a term of 1 year; and\n(ii) Continue to serve after graduation and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.\n(b) If a vacancy in the position of the student member occurs during the term of the student member, the Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils shall:\n(1) Conduct a special election at its next general meeting; and\n(2) By utilizing the same method that it used to select the previous student member of the board, select another student member to fill the vacancy.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=3-2A-05","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"ec8f5a6bf6c3b90888228db0f28a1f7a5afb4d142e34bf900efb556a4ade9e1a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-3-2a-04","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-3-2a-06"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
