Code, Education § 4–130","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) In this section, “student work product” means the work created by an individual while enrolled as a student at a public school in the State.\n(2) “Student work product” includes:\n(i) Written reports, essays, tests, and homework;\n(ii) Personal class notes;\n(iii) Art projects; and\n(iv) Computer software.\n(b) A county board may not claim ownership rights, property rights, or the copyright to the student work product of a student enrolled in a public school under the jurisdiction of the county board.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=4-130","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"d65c1e1fd8a7d3d03af51c12b2dc91e81c9cc504e26534ec9f28f00f4e071d41","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-4-129","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-4-131"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
