Code, Education § 4–206","heading":"","body":"(a) A county superintendent shall immediately notify the county board in writing of any criminal charges that are punishable by a period of incarceration brought against the county superintendent.\n(b) The notification required under subsection (a) of this section shall include a copy of all charging documents served on the county superintendent or the county superintendent’s counsel.\n(c) Any county superintendent who violates subsections (a) and (b) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $100 and revocation of any professional certification issued by the Department.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=4-206","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"394dcb8a4896a4d8b8ce8e629bf90ed434ea5ca98007e8ec9ebf2a01b439890e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-4-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-4-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
