Code, Education § 6–108","heading":"","body":"(a) Whether or not an individual receives compensation for the individual’s services, an employee of a county health department functioning as a school nurse or school health aide, or a member of the administrative, educational, or support staff of, or an individual who serves under a contract for services to, any public, private, or parochial school shall have the immunity from liability described under § 5–803 of the Courts Article.\n(b) A county superintendent or any employee of a county school system who presents or enters findings of fact, recommendations, or reports or who participates in an employee dismissal, disciplinary, administrative, or judicial proceeding relating to a school system employee that results from these actions shall have the immunity from liability described under § 5–803 of the Courts Article.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=6-108","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"0a8fc61ea4ee35de28f3343129c5fe28fa5934ff52c297025fb2a8c577c16eb3","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-6-107","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-6-109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
