Code, Education § 7–136","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “Program” means the Holocaust Education Assistance Grant Program.\n(b) (1) There is a Holocaust Education Assistance Grant Program in the State.\n(2) The purpose of the Program is to assist local school systems with Holocaust education in public schools.\n(c) A local school system may apply to the Department for a grant from the Program.\n(d) A local school system may use a grant only for Holocaust–related:\n(1) Teacher training; or\n(2) Teaching materials.\n(e) The Governor shall include in the annual budget bill an appropriation of $50,000 for the Program.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=7-136","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"e0eb5ae2f1abce9772f8091076d07e4691354fd1201db441df493522dc714051","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-7-135","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-7-137"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
