Code, Education § 7–303.1","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “school principal” means the principal of a public or nonpublic school, or a designee of the principal who is an administrator.\n(b) A school principal may make a report to any relevant law enforcement agency if, after an investigation is completed, the school principal has reason to believe that a student has engaged in conduct that constitutes an offense under:\n(1) § 3–201 of the Criminal Law Article (assault in the first degree);\n(2) § 3–202 of the Criminal Law Article (assault in the second degree);\n(3) § 3–805 of the Criminal Law Article (misuse of electronic communication or interactive computer service); or\n(4) § 3–809 of the Criminal Law Article (revenge porn).","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=7-303.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"f832b461017698f2c9c13a7a53491ba1461aebad91a05a454d1ebeed2724828c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-7-303","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-7-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
