Code, Education § 7–412","heading":"","body":"(a) If a student seeks information to overcome any form of drug abuse, as defined in § 8-101 of the Health - General Article, from a teacher, counselor, principal, or other professional educator employed by an educational institution that has received a certificate of approval under § 2-206 of this article, a statement, whether oral or written, made by the student or an observation or conclusion derived from the statement is not admissible against the student in any proceeding.\n(b) A rule, regulation, or order may not require disclosure of any report, statement, observation, conclusion, or other information that has been assembled or obtained by an educator through this contact.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=7-412","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"4ea82579d96905c43fb33de2b9931be30706ff3e58fdc08e6848595649eee5e0","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-7-411.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-7-413"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
