Code, Education § 7–422","heading":"","body":"(a) Each public school that receives notice of a contaminated drinking water supply from the school’s supplier of water, in accordance with § 9-410 of the Environment Article or otherwise, shall send notice of the drinking water contamination to the parent or legal guardian of each student attending the school.\n(b) The notice shall:\n(1) Be sent by the school within 10 business days after receipt of the notice of contamination from the school’s water supplier;\n(2) Be in writing;\n(3) Identify the contaminants and their levels in the school’s water supply; and\n(4) Describe the school’s plan for dealing with the water contamination problem until the school’s water is determined by the appropriate authority to be safe for consumption.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=7-422","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"62722abf4cd555fc6c1155adeac011b638eaccc0cb620fff71a0e17bf706d57c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-7-421","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-7-423"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
