Code, Education § 8–704.1","heading":"","body":"(a) The Department may contract with an operator who meets the requirements of § 8–704 of this subtitle to provide at–risk youth in the State enrolled in grade 7 or higher with the opportunity to participate in a program.\n(b) The program under this section may be a part of the program under § 8–704 of this subtitle.\n(c) The operator shall submit a plan to the Department to enroll students in grade 7 or higher that includes:\n(1) All grade levels from which students shall be enrolled;\n(2) The time frame during which enrollment shall occur;\n(3) The circumstances under which an operator shall enroll students;\n(4) The process by which students shall be selected;\n(5) If applicable, a description of how students shall be integrated into an existing educational curriculum and residential student life; and\n(6) Any other information requested by the Department.\n(d) The Department shall review and approve the plan if it is consistent with the educational purposes of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=8-704.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"6533df49fdf6badbd37e57d00e5805af2b4e12d4744894c1340eba9a2a120405","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-8-704","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-8-705"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
