Code, Education § 9.5–101","heading":"","body":"(a) In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Advertisement” means a communication that is intended to influence a person to enter into an obligation or sign a contract for services.\n(c) “Child care center” has the meaning stated in § 9.5–401 of this title.\n(d) “Family child care home” has the meaning stated in § 9.5–301 of this title.\n(e) “Large family child care home” has the meaning stated in § 9.5–301 of this title.\n(f) “License” means a license issued by the Department to operate a child care center.\n(g) “Registration” means a registration issued by the Department to a family child care home or a large family child care home.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=9.5-101","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"053ebf80d13ffc674e0d36d6e76376faa33d7f217e4d6831867328ada9913ba8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-9-112","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-9.5-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
