Code, Election Law § 10–402","heading":"","body":"(a) There is an Election Day Page Program.\n(b) The purpose of the Program is to:\n(1) stimulate the interest of students in the election process;\n(2) provide assistance to election judges in polling places on election day; and\n(3) ensure the safe entry and exit of elderly voters and voters with disabilities from polling places.\n(c) The State Board:\n(1) shall develop a page training program for use by participating local boards that includes the duties, responsibilities, and prohibited conduct of pages at a polling place on election day; and\n(2) may adopt regulations to carry out the provisions of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Election Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gel\u0026section=10-402","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:47Z","sha256":"55bf2da22df0a2e8127dc1cc8aa15d800658eef4901f962b7e011bf596359747","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-10-401","next":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-10-403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
