Code, Election Law § 13–237","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) In this section the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(2) “Own” has the meaning stated in § 9–1A–01 of the State Government Article.\n(3) “Video lottery facility” has the meaning stated in § 9–1A–01 of the State Government Article.\n(4) “Video lottery operation license” has the meaning stated in § 9–1A–01 of the State Government Article.\n(b) This section applies to the following persons:\n(1) an applicant for a video lottery operation license;\n(2) a holder of a video lottery operation license; or\n(3) a person who owns an interest in the operation of a video lottery facility in this State.\n(c) This section does not apply to gaming activity that an eligible organization is authorized to conduct under the Criminal Law Article.\n(d) A person subject to this section may not, directly or indirectly, make a contribution to:\n(1) the campaign finance entity of a candidate for any nonfederal public office in the State; or\n(2) any other campaign finance entity organized in support of a candidate for any nonfederal public office in the State.","path":["Article - Election Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gel\u0026section=13-237","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:47Z","sha256":"be24b7a2374344584f23010c24facc1a9257ad08b3f8cb4d5157f019c4dc33d2","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-13-236.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-13-238"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
