Code, Election Law § 15–102","heading":"","body":"(a) In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Comptroller” means the Comptroller of the State.\n(c) “Contribution card” means a document signed, including by electronic signature, by a donor attesting that the contribution made to a campaign is made with the personal funds of the donor.\n(d) “Eligible gubernatorial ticket” means a gubernatorial ticket that qualifies to receive a public contribution.\n(e) “Eligible private contribution” means a monetary private contribution from an individual who is a resident of the State that does not exceed $250 in the aggregate for the election cycle and is accompanied by a contribution card.\n(f) “Fund” means the “Fair Campaign Financing Fund”.\n(g) “Gubernatorial ticket” means a Governor–Lieutenant Governor unit.\n(h) “Private contribution” means a contribution or series of contributions from an individual that does not exceed $250 in the aggregate for the election cycle in which the contribution is made.\n(i) “Public contribution” means money distributed from the Fund to a gubernatorial ticket under this title.","path":["Article - Election Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gel\u0026section=15-102","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:47Z","sha256":"d5e9fd0faf1779abe10598d0ee8c4b7c5c67cba3a287b1a728132ff432bdfb9e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-15-101","next":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-15-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
