Code, Election Law § 9–207","heading":"","body":"(a) The State Board shall certify and publicly display the content and arrangement of each ballot:\n(1) for a primary election, at least 64 days before the election;\n(2) for a general election, at least 64 days before the election;\n(3) for a special primary election, at least 55 days before the election; and\n(4) for a special general election, not later than a date specified in the Governor’s proclamation.\n(b) The Supreme Court of Maryland, on petition of the State Board, may establish a later date in extraordinary circumstances.\n(c) The State Board shall publicly display the content and arrangement of each certified ballot on its website.\n(d) Except pursuant to a court order under § 9–209 of this subtitle, or as provided in § 9–208 of this subtitle, the content and arrangement of the ballot may not be modified after the second day of the public display.\n(e) Unless a delay is required by court order, the State Board may begin to print the ballots after certification and 3 days of public display and correct any noted errors.","path":["Article - Election Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gel\u0026section=9-207","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:47Z","sha256":"a5853aef50345c5e931354281ffd0659ff1a40b6fcb80d22b9eaf54db91c0486","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-9-206","next":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-9-208"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
