Code, Election Law § 9–307","heading":"","body":"(a) A qualified applicant may designate a duly authorized agent to pick up and deliver an absentee ballot under this subtitle.\n(b) An agent of the voter under this section:\n(1) must be at least 18 years old;\n(2) may not be a candidate on that ballot;\n(3) shall be designated in a writing signed by the voter under penalty of perjury; and\n(4) shall execute an affidavit under penalty of perjury that the ballot was:\n(i) delivered to the voter who submitted the application;\n(ii) marked and placed in an envelope by the voter, or with assistance as allowed by regulation, in the agent’s presence; and\n(iii) returned to the local board by the agent.","path":["Article - Election Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gel\u0026section=9-307","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:47Z","sha256":"93ea6c9cf96fe9a0c7f1c55ae213e75ba939c0689fcc7b706f310f51aadea5d7","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-9-306","next":"us-md/md.-code-election-law-9-308"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
