Code, Environment § 2–1401","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) On or before July 1, 2018, the Governor shall include the State as a member of the U.S. Climate Alliance.\n(2) The Governor may withdraw the State from the U.S. Climate Alliance only if the General Assembly enacts a law to approve the withdrawal.\n(b) On or before December 1, 2018, and on or before December 1 each year thereafter, the Governor shall report to the Senate Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee and the House Environment and Transportation Committee, in accordance with § 2–1257 of the State Government Article, on the State’s participation in the U.S. Climate Alliance, including:\n(1) Any collaborations or partnerships among the Alliance members or external stakeholders; and\n(2) Any policies or programs that the Alliance has endorsed, undertaken, or considered.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=2-1401","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"25cc82aafd204fbd226994914bf12bdb78687ac8d63cd418245bc29fd0698498","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-2-1306","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-2-1501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
