Code, Environment § 2–603","heading":"","body":"(a) A show–cause order issued under this subtitle shall:\n(1) Specify the provision that allegedly has been violated;\n(2) Describe the nature and extent of the alleged violation;\n(3) Require the person charged to appear at a hearing and show cause why an order requiring corrective action should not be issued; and\n(4) State the date, time, and place of the hearing.\n(b) Each show–cause order issued under this subtitle shall be in writing and shall be served:\n(1) Not less than 20 days before the time set for the hearing; and\n(2) As a summons is served under the Maryland Rules or by certified mail.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=2-603","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"96cedae846ed96d2ba46caa87bcbf34be8fe217df4a1ff28b89e7f8292b8cfea","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-2-602","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-2-604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
