Code, Environment § 2–604","heading":"","body":"(a) A corrective order issued under this subtitle shall:\n(1) Specify the provision that allegedly has been violated;\n(2) Describe the nature and extent of the alleged violation;\n(3) Require corrective action within a time specified in the order; and\n(4) State that the person charged will receive a hearing if the person requests the hearing within 10 days after service.\n(b) Each corrective order issued under this subtitle shall be in writing and shall be served:\n(1) As a summons is served under the Maryland Rules; or\n(2) By certified mail.\n(c) Unless the person charged with a corrective order requests a hearing within 10 days after service, the corrective order becomes a final order.\n(d) If the person charged with a corrective order makes a timely request for a hearing under subsection (c) of this section, the Secretary shall:\n(1) Hold a hearing within 20 days after the request is made; and\n(2) Give the person written notice of the date, time, and place of the hearing, at least 10 days before the hearing date.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=2-604","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"39caf846a9d86aa5e5f169a730476c140a942fc506c1265d5fff779ab69297b0","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-2-603","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-2-605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
