Code, Environment § 6–16A–05","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, the provisions of §§ 9–334 through 9–341 and 9–343 through 9–344 of this article apply to enforce violations of:\n(1) This subtitle;\n(2) Any regulation adopted under this subtitle; or\n(3) Any order issued under this subtitle.\n(b) A person who violates this subtitle is subject to:\n(1) A civil penalty up to $2,500 for each violation; or\n(2) An administrative penalty up to $2,500 for each violation, but not exceeding $100,000 total.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=6-16A-05","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"1ab20327a1cfe7e9253f8e2f7739f363ad8e6149df3904823185be6dd17b87f1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-6-16a-04","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-6-1701"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
