Code, Environment § 6–421","heading":"","body":"(a) Any complaint, corrective order, notice, or other instrument issued by the Department under this subtitle may be served on the person to whom it is directed in accordance with § 1–204 of this article.\n(b) If service is made by certified mail, return receipt requested, bearing a postmark from the United States Postal Service, the person who mails the document shall file with the Department verified proof of mailing.\n(c) Any notice that requires filing of a report, attendance at a hearing, or both, shall be served at least 10 days before the earlier of:\n(1) The time set for the hearing, if any; or\n(2) The time set for the filing of the report, if any.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=6-421","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"1d95aa50e342324baad66b1555df2482369f88b0eeedb41d53576d92a87236cd","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-6-420","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-6-422"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
