Code, Environment § 7–111","heading":"","body":"As a requirement for keeping the facility permit, each facility permit holder shall:\n(1) Maintain a bond or other security that the Department considers sufficient to cover any cost for:\n(i) Guaranteeing fulfillment of all requirements related to the facility permit;\n(ii) Monitoring, maintaining, or closing the facility; and\n(iii) Assuring the security of the facility after closing;\n(2) Design, construct, and operate the facility in the manner approved by the Department;\n(3) Establish emergency procedures and safeguards to prevent accidents and reasonably foreseeable harm to human beings or the environment;\n(4) Report periodically on the hazardous material that is received and transferred by the facility, including, as applicable, volume, and chemical, physical, biological, and radioactive nature; and\n(5) To the extent reasonably practicable, restore the facility site to its original condition if use as a facility is terminated.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=7-111","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"74aec4c18c7344ad5630028c211c34f3cf25d0e7c74267df6c8743ef4652b683","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-7-110","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-7-112"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
