Code, Environment § 7–232","heading":"","body":"(a) A person shall hold a facility permit before the person may own, establish, operate, or maintain a controlled hazardous substance facility in this State.\n(b) Subject to § 7-233 of this subtitle, if the Department determines that a permit issued under Title 9, Subtitle 2 of this article is sufficient to carry out the purposes of this subtitle, that permit shall be considered a facility permit for purposes of this subtitle, subject to the fee and other provisions of this subtitle.\n(c) A separate facility permit is required for each controlled hazardous substance facility that a person owns, establishes, maintains, or operates.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=7-232","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"d30118e615a93e175e01a956377dc77d6f61c1aa4c37efa75a245e14255f8e2a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-7-229","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-7-233"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
