Code, Environment § 7–408","heading":"","body":"(a) A certificate automatically shall be null and void if:\n(1) Construction or other preparation of the site for its intended use of the facility for which the certificate was issued has not commenced within 2 years following issuance of the certificate; or\n(2) The facility has not commenced operation within 4 years following issuance of the certificate.\n(b) The Board may extend the time limits imposed under subsection (a) of this section if the certificate holder:\n(1) Applies to the Board for an extension; and\n(2) Shows good cause for allowing the extension.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=7-408","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"a0c2ced2613c77238951ce9f96e13399268658eeb3e438eb43dd024f20abe5b9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-7-407","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-7-409"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
