Code, Environment § 7–515","heading":"","body":"(a) The provisions of §§ 7-256 through 7-268 of this title shall be used and shall apply to enforce violations of:\n(1) This subtitle; or\n(2) Any regulation adopted under this subtitle.\n(b) Any action taken by the Department under this subtitle at a site under active enforcement may not:\n(1) Negate the terms and conditions of any outstanding active enforcement order, decree, judgment, permit, or other document that addresses environmental contamination at the site; or\n(2) Relieve any person who is the subject of an active enforcement action from liability for penalties under the enforcement action.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=7-515","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"6d9a963e282a6084f12cd5b47240a0182ce20dc43d3e4fdf77754840c2988ca8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-7-514","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-7-516"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
