Code, Environment § 9–213","heading":"","body":"(a) A permit for a landfill system expires on the 5th anniversary of its date of issue, unless the permit is renewed for a 5-year term as provided in this section.\n(b) Before a permit for a landfill system expires, the permit holder may renew it for an additional 5-year term, if the permit holder:\n(1) Submits to the Department a renewal application on the form that the Department requires;\n(2) Gives notice, by certified mail, of the renewal application to each member of the General Assembly in whose district the landfill system is located; and\n(3) Obtains the written approval of the Department.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=9-213","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"fb99a6320be4924ba86cbbb6eb986829889aa6ae10d65687757890ffb576f7ce","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-212.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-214"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
