Code, Environment § 9–2206","heading":"","body":"(a) A unit of county government shall enforce § 9–2203 of this subtitle.\n(b) Subject to subsection (c) of this section, a county may impose a penalty not exceeding $250 on:\n(1) A person who violates § 9–2203(a) of this subtitle; or\n(2) A food service business that violates § 9–2203(b) of this subtitle.\n(c) A penalty may not be imposed under this section unless:\n(1) The unit of county government first issues a written notice of violation to the person or the food service business; and\n(2) The violation is not corrected within 3 months of receipt of the written notice.\n(d) A unit of county government shall notify the Department of any violation of § 9–2203 of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=9-2206","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"182f29a657600fc0ffc56f9afaf26d2f61d99f2e9456fc1fd1556f8ecd4de3af","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-2205","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-2207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
