Code, Environment § 9–277","heading":"","body":"(a) With the approval of the Board of Public Works, the Secretary shall adopt regulations that establish application procedures and criteria for the award of financial assistance under § 9–275(b)(3) of this subtitle.\n(b) The criteria shall provide the basis for project priority rankings and shall include, as appropriate:\n(1) The environmental or public health impacts caused by existing circumstances;\n(2) Previous efforts expended to correct any existing problem;\n(3) Financial capacity of the applicant;\n(4) The problem prevention aspects of a proposed project;\n(5) Cost effectiveness of a proposed project;\n(6) Provisions for monitoring and review;\n(7) The contribution of the proposed project toward meeting State and local solid waste plans and goals; and\n(8) Measures to assure accountability for all funds awarded under § 9–275(b)(3) of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=9-277","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"7bd401246f42952f9a19a53e2749e4cf74bad29d72cab00cab3a27aa6e4ea50b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-276","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-278"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
