Code, Environment § 9–324","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to the provisions of this section, the Department may issue a discharge permit if the Department finds that the discharge meets:\n(1) All applicable State and federal water quality standards and effluent limitations; and\n(2) All other requirements of this subtitle.\n(b) Before issuing a discharge permit, the Department and the applicant shall comply with the provisions of Title 1, Subtitle 6 of this article.\n(c) The informational meeting required by Title 1, Subtitle 6 of this article shall be held in accordance with Title 1, Subtitle 6 of this article.\n(d) The Department shall give public notice of each application for a discharge permit as required by Title 1, Subtitle 6 of this article, and by making available to the public appropriate documents, permit applications, supporting material, plans, and other relevant information.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=9-324","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"67409427429f5e0a159cd115c9d7ac4c6b13193a8e25fd03323c817143ea93e1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-323.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-325"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
