Code, Environment § 9–329.1","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to:\n(1) A publicly or privately owned sewage treatment plant; or\n(2) The discharge of any chlorine or chlorine products that are present due to their occurrence as a natural constituent of saline water.\n(b) A person who has a discharge permit may not discharge chlorine or chlorine products into the Chesapeake Bay or its tributaries during April and May of any year at a level that is greater than the chlorine discharge level that is applicable to a publicly or privately owned sewage treatment plant under § 9-329 of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=9-329.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"804b881f56b4a4826d2e225f4d0cc3322f882995db9bf2ad3def0413f17c6427","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-329","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-329.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
