Code, Environment § 9–408","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, and subject to § 9-409 of this subtitle, State primary drinking water regulations shall apply to every public water system in this State.\n(b) The State primary drinking water regulations do not apply to a public water system that:\n(1) Consists only of distribution and storage facilities, and does not have any collection and treatment facilities;\n(2) Obtains all of its water from, but is not owned or operated by, a public water system to which the State primary drinking water regulations apply;\n(3) Does not sell water to any person; and\n(4) Is not a carrier that conveys passengers in interstate commerce.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=9-408","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"ec0545f5fa5ad15015e3cc1ff8b4f182ffb0e389a315ea271c402edaec6984b8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-407","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-409"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
