Code, Environment § 9–612","heading":"","body":"(a) The ordinance or resolution that creates a district shall include articles of incorporation that comply with this section.\n(b) The articles of incorporation shall include:\n(1) The name of the district, using the word “district”;\n(2) A statement that the district is formed under this subtitle;\n(3) The name of each member county;\n(4) The name, address, and term of office of each of the first sanitary commissioners of the district;\n(5) The purposes for which the district is created; and\n(6) If the district is to exercise jurisdiction over a geographical area smaller than the maximum jurisdiction allowable to the district under this subtitle, a description of the geographical jurisdiction of the district.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=9-612","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"e0c5289e97e9bf8eb49674852db25989f9fbd5f45a47c60e062f37a9742b9773","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-611","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-613"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
