Code, Environment § 9–809","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Any bond issued under this subtitle that bears the signatures of the officers in office on the date the bond is signed is a valid and binding obligation notwithstanding that:\n(i) At the time of delivery of or payment for the bond, any or all of the signers are no longer officers of the municipality; or\n(ii) Any proceeding that relates to the development of the sewerage facility for which the bond is issued is invalid or irregular.\n(2) A signature may be by facsimile as provided in § 2-303 of the State Finance and Procurement Article.\n(b) A recital in the bond that the bond is issued under this subtitle is conclusive evidence of:\n(1) The validity of the bond; and\n(2) The regularity of the issuance of the bond.","path":["Article - Environment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gen\u0026section=9-809","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:58Z","sha256":"09a4c89024eed6d2761494e4aa5c29257c658d5030ae263ae1ce25b072534c73","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-808","next":"us-md/md.-code-environment-9-810"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
