Code, Estates and Trusts § 15–201","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Bank” includes any person or association of persons, whether incorporated or not, carrying on the business of banking.\n(c) “Fiduciary” includes a trustee under any trust expressed, implied, resulting or constructive, executor, administrator, guardian, conservator, curator, receiver, trustee in bankruptcy, assignee for the benefit of creditors, partner, agent, officer of a corporation, public or private, public officer, or any other person acting in a fiduciary capacity for any person, trust, or estate.\n(d) “Person” includes an individual, a corporation, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, statutory trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, two or more persons having a joint or common interest, or any other legal or commercial entity.\n(e) “Principal” includes any person to whom a fiduciary as such owes an obligation.","path":["Article - Estates and Trusts"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=get\u0026section=15-201","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:07Z","sha256":"ebf05a7242623d1c6d9e96b30257448d127efb2a2dcb50a9a46cd0d652c73cb6","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-estates-and-trusts-15-1a-05","next":"us-md/md.-code-estates-and-trusts-15-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
