Code, Estates and Trusts § 15–307","heading":"","body":"(a) A person who participates in the acquisition, disposition, assignment or transfer of a security by or to a fiduciary, including a person who guarantees the signature of the fiduciary, shall have the immunity from liability described under § 5-421(b) of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article.\n(b) If a corporation or transfer agent makes a transfer pursuant to an assignment by a fiduciary, a person who guaranteed the signature of the fiduciary shall have the immunity from liability described under § 5-421(c) of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article.\n(c) This section and § 5-421 of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article do not impose any liability upon the corporation or its transfer agent.","path":["Article - Estates and Trusts"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=get\u0026section=15-307","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:07Z","sha256":"370d212fb12488382c7ed534f2f1004ebc8cdf2345fd6693ea4b3c8fcfb60d5e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-estates-and-trusts-15-306","next":"us-md/md.-code-estates-and-trusts-15-308"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
