Code, Estates and Trusts § 5–704","heading":"","body":"(a) After filing an election for modified administration, the personal representative shall:\n(1) File a verified final report under modified administration no later than 10 months from the date of appointment instead of filing a formal inventory and account; and\n(2) On the request of any interested person, provide a formal inventory and account, as required under Title 7 of this article, to all interested persons.\n(b) If the personal representative discovers property of the decedent after the time for filing a verified final report required by subsection (a) of this section, the personal representative shall:\n(1) File a verified final report under modified administration with respect to the after–discovered property within 60 days of the discovery of the property; and\n(2) Make final distribution of the after–discovered property within 90 days of the discovery of the property.","path":["Article - Estates and Trusts"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=get\u0026section=5-704","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:07Z","sha256":"389550fea6cc9cfa3db2e85466082ca1a6a7e3892035b8d344751ad5c9381b75","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-estates-and-trusts-5-703","next":"us-md/md.-code-estates-and-trusts-5-705"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
