Code, Family Law § 10–108.6","heading":"","body":"(a) In order to establish, modify, or enforce a duty of support, the Administration may issue subpoenas to compel the production of documents and other tangible items.\n(b) A subpoena issued under subsection (a) of this section shall:\n(1) specify the name and address of the person to be subpoenaed;\n(2) describe the items to be produced with particularity; and\n(3) include a return date for the subpoena.\n(c) The Administration may serve a subpoena by:\n(1) hand delivery; or\n(2) certified mail.\n(d) If a person fails to comply with a subpoena issued by the Administration, the Administration may:\n(1) reissue the subpoena;\n(2) exercise the Administration’s authority under § 10-119.3 of this subtitle to suspend any license held by the person; or\n(3) apply, upon affidavit, to any judge of a circuit court for an order requiring the person to obey the subpoena.\n(e) If a person knowingly fails or refuses to obey a court order to comply with a subpoena issued under this section, the court may compel compliance with the administrative subpoena in any manner available to the court to enforce its own order or subpoena.","path":["Article - Family Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gfl\u0026section=10-108.6","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:17Z","sha256":"be1c4f8906a6ef285029c01bb4d911b5d01d88ea90400cbe227746961149add6","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-108.5","next":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-108.7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
