Code, Family Law § 10–110","heading":"","body":"(a) The Administration may:\n(1) charge an initial application fee of not more than $ 25 for support services;\n(2) deduct from the child support payment to defray the cost of providing support enforcement services under:\n(i) the Income Tax Refund Intercept Program under this subtitle; and\n(ii) the Federal Treasury Offset Program;\n(3) collect fees from the obligor to defray the costs of providing support enforcement services; and\n(4) deduct from child support payments an annual collection fee in an amount not exceeding the amount authorized under 42 U.S.C. § 654(6)(b)(ii) for cases in which the family never received temporary cash assistance and has received at least $ 3,500 in child support payments during the federal fiscal year.\n(b) Except as provided in subsection (a) of this section, the Administration may not:\n(1) collect fees from the child support obligee; or\n(2) deduct fees from the child support payment.","path":["Article - Family Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gfl\u0026section=10-110","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:17Z","sha256":"d30734dcf55bb09618f6aee4b4986efbfe8671404df0da3548244a21ca450bec","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-109","next":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
