Code, Family Law § 10–141","heading":"","body":"(a) The Administration may file a notice of a child support lien with the clerk of a circuit court.\n(b) (1) On receipt of a notice of a child support lien, the clerk of a circuit court shall:\n(i) record and index the lien; and\n(ii) enter the lien in the judgment docket of the court.\n(2) The docket entry shall include:\n(i) the name of the person whose property is subject to the child support lien; and\n(ii) the amount and date of the child support lien.\n(c) (1) From the date on which a child support lien is filed, the child support lien has the full force and effect of a judgment lien.\n(2) A child support lien established under this Part IV of this subtitle may be enforced in accordance with the Maryland Rules.","path":["Article - Family Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gfl\u0026section=10-141","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:17Z","sha256":"417253e70246538fda9cb0253ec09716021d2609104ccf68f42f2b8fa7470e13","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-140","next":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-142"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
