Code, Family Law § 10–1A–01","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Child support order” means:\n(1) any support order for a child issued by a tribunal; or\n(2) an executed affidavit of support.\n(c) “Party” means:\n(1) the legal parent of a child;\n(2) a caretaker with whom the child resides; or\n(3) the Administration when:\n(i) it has accepted an assignment of support under § 5–312(b)(2) of the Human Services Article; or\n(ii) the child has been placed in the care and custody of the State.\n(d) “Tribunal” has the meaning stated in § 10–301(dd) of this title.","path":["Article - Family Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gfl\u0026section=10-1A-01","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:17Z","sha256":"e526a7e3b7d4a95cbc56b8690cc77bb83f3d21b74037663abbe285627433d998","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-144","next":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-1a-02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
