Code, Family Law § 10–351","heading":"","body":"If a child support order issued by a tribunal of this State is modified by a tribunal of another state which assumed jurisdiction pursuant to the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, a tribunal of this State:\n(1) may enforce its order that was modified only as to arrears and interest accruing before the modification;\n(2) may provide appropriate relief for violations of its order which occurred before the effective date of the modification; and\n(3) shall recognize the modifying order of the other state, upon registration, for the purpose of enforcement.","path":["Article - Family Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gfl\u0026section=10-351","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:17Z","sha256":"1f7a9e44582229897de73e743dea9f2a63b112bf80c256fdff63c15438b83543","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-350","next":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-10-352"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
