Code, Family Law § 5–315","heading":"","body":"(a) Within 5 days after a petition for guardianship of a child is filed with a juvenile court, the clerk shall send a copy of the petition, with the notice of filing that was attached to the petition, to:\n(1) the local department;\n(2) each of the child’s living parents who has not waived the right to notice;\n(3) each living parent’s last attorney of record in the CINA case; and\n(4) the child’s last attorney of record in the CINA case.\n(b) Notice under this section shall be by first-class mail.\n(c) Notice under this section shall be sent to a parent’s last address known to the juvenile court.","path":["Article - Family Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gfl\u0026section=5-315","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:17Z","sha256":"526d84a1af5fa1bb59649a5d9e34499ee1c2c63676826673720b35d2bf3f1ff0","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-5-314","next":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-5-316"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
