Code, Family Law § 5–327","heading":"","body":"If, after a juvenile court grants guardianship, a party becomes aware that a condition of consent to the guardianship may not be fulfilled:\n(1) the party promptly shall:\n(i) file notice with the juvenile court;\n(ii) give notice to all of the other parties; and\n(iii) if consent was received from a governmental unit or person who is not a party, give notice to that unit or person;\n(2) the juvenile court shall schedule a hearing to occur within 30 days after the filing of the notice; and\n(3) if the party, unit, or person whose condition cannot be fulfilled fails to enter into a new consent, the juvenile court shall:\n(i) set aside the guardianship order;\n(ii) set the case in for a prompt trial on the merits of the guardianship petition; and\n(iii) reopen the CINA case for review as required under Title 3, Subtitle 8 of the Courts Article.","path":["Article - Family Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gfl\u0026section=5-327","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:17Z","sha256":"094c8f538fc670eb7b0dbe04ad75a093079d24efe8ee877dc736712f76c2f817","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-5-326","next":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-5-328"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
