Code, Family Law § 5–532","heading":"","body":"(a) The Administration shall adopt rules and regulations to carry out the child welfare services and foster care programs under this subtitle.\n(b) The regulations shall authorize the Administration to:\n(1) conduct a background check of child support arrearages on an applicant for foster home approval who is also a biological or adoptive parent;\n(2) consider any child support arrearage in determining whether to approve or disapprove the application; and\n(3) notify the appropriate criminal or juvenile delinquency court if the Administration has information indicating that the child’s interests as a victim are not adequately protected in a case before the court.","path":["Article - Family Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gfl\u0026section=5-532","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:17Z","sha256":"b53850600c0f9299a43f2650b3472bd9acf9f003811b04e070c1d2f6039dbf8c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-5-531","next":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-5-533"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
