Code, Family Law § 5–544","heading":"","body":"The goals of each local board are:\n(1) as to minor children who reside in out–of–home care under the jurisdiction of a local department, to conduct case reviews and individual child advocacy activities in accordance with those case reviews under the protocols established by the State Board;\n(2) in cooperation with other local boards, if any, in the county, to make recommendations regarding how the out–of–home care system may be improved;\n(3) to coordinate its findings and recommendations under item (2) of this section with a local citizens review panel serving the county;\n(4) to meet with the director of the local department and the judge in charge of the juvenile court in the county to discuss the board’s findings and recommendations; and\n(5) to assist the State Board in holding community forums as required in § 5–539.1 of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Family Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gfl\u0026section=5-544","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:17Z","sha256":"849ad85f2578bb337ffda0640b6150abf041c396573bf792af3ee429e89a84ab","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-5-543","next":"us-md/md.-code-family-law-5-545"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
