Code, General Provisions § 5–708","heading":"","body":"(a) In addition to any other report required under this subtitle, an individual regulated lobbyist described in § 5–702(a)(1), (2), (3), or (4) of this subtitle shall file a separate report disclosing any political contribution made:\n(1) directly or indirectly by the regulated lobbyist;\n(2) during the reporting period;\n(3) under the Election Law Article; and\n(4) for the benefit of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, or member of the General Assembly, or a candidate for election to any of those offices.\n(b) The report shall state:\n(1) the name of each official or candidate for whose benefit a political contribution was made; and\n(2) the total political contributions for the benefit of that official or candidate.\n(c) The report shall be filed electronically at the time and in the manner required for reports filed under § 5–705 of this subtitle.","path":["Article - General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ggp\u0026section=5-708","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:37Z","sha256":"0103d492dd971604b72afe21c012c386adbd2bd70c3d63ac491aa1379e850398","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-general-provisions-5-707","next":"us-md/md.-code-general-provisions-5-709"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
