Code, General Provisions § 5–812","heading":"","body":"(a) If the Ethics Commission determines that a county or municipal corporation has not complied with and has not made good–faith efforts toward compliance with the requirements of this part, the Ethics Commission:\n(1) may issue a public notice concerning the failure of compliance with this part, including a listing of specific areas of noncompliance; and\n(2) may petition a circuit court with venue over the proceeding for appropriate relief to compel compliance.\n(b) The circuit court may grant any available equitable relief.","path":["Article - General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ggp\u0026section=5-812","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:37Z","sha256":"0d1b75888b78ac79dc0b73cab5f7824b1d2bc97b07e7cd0a352249eb446ea2a4","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-general-provisions-5-811.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-general-provisions-5-815"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
