Code, Health - General § 10–6A–02","heading":"","body":"// EFFECTIVE UNTIL JUNE 30, 2030 PER CHAPTERS 703 AND 704 OF 2024 //\n(a) The issuance of an assisted outpatient treatment order against a respondent under this subtitle may not be:\n(1) The basis for the involuntary admission of the respondent to a facility under this title; or\n(2) Used as evidence of incompetency of the respondent.\n(b) This subtitle may not be construed to abridge or modify any civil right of the respondent, including:\n(1) Any civil service ranking or appointment;\n(2) The right to apply for voluntary admission to a facility under § 10–609 of this title; and\n(3) Any right relating to a license, permit, certification, privilege, or benefit under any law.\n(c) Any right normally afforded to an individual in a civil or criminal matter shall apply.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=10-6A-02","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"5f83a9b6d2bc5e7640fb1facadfb84188d3ec6eb1534fb867c7f3bf543551dfe","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-10-6a-01","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-10-6a-03"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
