Code, Health - General § 13–1010","heading":"","body":"(a) The membership of a Community Health Coalition established under § 13-1008(b) of this subtitle shall:\n(1) Reflect the demographics of the county; and\n(2) Include representatives of community-based groups, including minority, rural, and medically underserved populations, that, taken together, are familiar with all of the different communities and cultures in the county.\n(b) The membership of a Community Health Coalition established under § 13–1008(b) of this subtitle may include:\n(1) Representatives of:\n(i) A local management board established under Title 8, Subtitle 3 of the Human Services Article;\n(ii) The local public school system;\n(iii) Local hospitals, clinics, physicians, and other health care providers;\n(iv) Local law enforcement;\n(v) Local businesses;\n(vi) Local religious organizations;\n(vii) Local media;\n(viii) Institutions of higher education; and\n(ix) Hospitals and other entities located outside the county that could enhance the county’s tobacco use prevention and cessation efforts; and\n(2) Any other person that the local health officer believes would help the county meet the tobacco use prevention and cessation goals and requirements established for the county under § 13–1007 of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=13-1010","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"7d982c1ce79e4e6775086552f779e74a880269441aac3e7e46d412e2c95fc250","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-13-1009","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-13-1011"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
