Code, Health - General § 13–1210","heading":"","body":"(a) A meeting of a local team shall be closed to the public and not subject to Title 3 of the General Provisions Article when a local team is discussing individual cases of maternal deaths.\n(b) Subject to subsection (c) of this section, a meeting of a local team shall be open to the public and subject to Title 3 of the General Provisions Article when the local team is not discussing individual cases of maternal deaths.\n(c) (1) During a public meeting, information may not be disclosed that identifies:\n(i) A deceased woman; or\n(ii) A family member, guardian, or caretaker of a deceased woman.\n(2) During a public meeting, information may not be disclosed regarding the involvement of any agency with:\n(i) A deceased woman; or\n(ii) A family member, guardian, or caretaker of a deceased woman.\n(d) This section does not prohibit a local team from requesting the attendance at a team meeting of an individual who has information relevant to the team’s performance of its purpose and duties.\n(e) A violation of this section is a misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or both.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=13-1210","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"967cd2d8aee00fece13303e99527e9de803dd5ede728f205ac3f86d5242c6401","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-13-1209","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-13-1211"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
